Papers, 1951-1976, of Spotswood Hunnicutt Jones concerning elementary school textbook, "Virginia: History, Government, Geography" (New York: Scribner, 1957). Includes correspondence with Earl Gregg Swem and Francis Butler Simkins as well as typescripts, revisions and galley proofs.

Addition 1997.28A consists of the correspondence of Jones with Ludwell Lee Montague; and papers relating to the history of Gloucester County, Va., especially the correspondence of the Gloucester County Bicentennial Celebration Committee and a manuscript by Jones about Harriotte Lee Taliaferro Montague.
