Acc. 2009.177: This accession is composed of publications, course material, and a scrpabook from College of William and Mary student Giles B. Cooke with some material from his brother Francis West Cooke. The material includes: an invitation and program from the 1915 commencement ceremony, a scrapbook of photographs related to the College of William and Mary and its environs including buildings and a football game dated 1922 (excellent condition with a black and orange felt cover); a college notebook related to biology of Giles B. Cooke, 1916, and assorted publications from the Alumni Gazette and an obituary for Giles B. Cooke, 1974. Acc. 2011.464: This accession Contains articles, correspondence, photographs, programs, and other material collected by Giles B. Cooke, class of 1923 from the College of William and Mary. The bulk of the material consists of articles written by Cooke related to botany, in particular, the history and evolution of the cork tree. Also included in the accession are programs and photographs from various Arbor Day celebrations across the United States. A black and orange College of William and Mary pennant, circa 1923, is housed and described in the University Archives Artifact Collection. Colonial Echo yearbooks, 1916 and 1917, were transferred to the yearbook collection.
