Wiatt, William Edward (1826-1918)
Historical Note
William Edward Wiatt was born in Gloucester County, Va. He taught school in Kentucky and Alabama, then moved back to Gloucester County.
Served as a Baptist minister and chaplain of 26th Virginia Infantry Regiment. After Civil War, was minister, schoolteacher, and county surveyor. Was a missionary in mountains of Virginia.
