Historical Note
Evelyn "Eva" Tingey Craven was the daughter of Rear Admiral Thomas Tingey Craven and his second wife, Emily Truxton. In the late 1860's, she married John Munford Gregory III, son of Governor and Judge John Munford Gregory II and his wife, Martha "Amanda" Wallace. He became active in local politics, serving as District Attorney and later Judge in Suisun, CA, where they made their home. Together they had four sons: John Munford IV, Thomas Tingey Craven, Truxton, and Alfred Gregory. Her birth and death dates are unknown, though she was probably born in the late1840's and was certainly still living in the early 1900's.
