Munger, Elizabeth Kinsman Duncan (1842-1886)
Historical Note
Daughter of Massachusetts Congressman James Henry Duncan (1793-1869), Elizabeth K. Duncan Munger (1842-1886) married Rev. Theodore Thornton Munger (1830-1910), a graduate of Yale University Divinity School and Andover Theological Seminary, in 1864. The couple had four surviving children: Rosanna May Munger (b. 1866), Eleanor Duncan Munger (b. 1868), Mary Munger, nicknamed Polly (b. 1877), and Thornton Taft Munger (1883-1975). From 1877 to 1885, the couple lived in North Adams, MA, and then moved to New Haven, CT, where Rev. Munger served as pastor for the United Church.
